Know God
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
How to Know God
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God…” (1 Peter 3:18)
Jesus paid the penalty for your sin.
Believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, your Creator, and put your faith in Him to bridge the gap between you and God the Father.
Romans 10:8-11 say’s: “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is the word of faith which we preach) “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in the your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.”
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6) Jesus is the ONLY way to God.
Jesus also said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)
Come as your are… Don’t try to “clean up your life” before you come to God. Instead, receive Him and allow Him to do the “cleansing.” Jesus said, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out” (John 6:37).
Understanding that because He has forgiven you of your sin you must change your direction. This is called repentance. The Bible tells us, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19)
Jesus will fill you with His Holy Spirit who will empower you to live your new life for Him. Jesus said…”If you love Me, keep My commandments, and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you”. (John 14:16-17) The Apostle Paul said, “…the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20)
Abide in Jesus….”I (Jesus) am the vine, you are branches. He who abides (lives in) in Me, and I in him bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.” (John 15:5-6)
Then, search His word, the Bible for instruction in His character and how He desires that you should live your life. Find a church that is teaching God’s word verse by verse, in context and become a disciple, a learner , of Jesus! Amen!
A simple prayer….. Jesus, I believe You are the Creator and my salvation. I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died in my place to cleanse me from my sin, past present and future, therefore I desire to follow You as Lord and Savior. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and help me to live my life for Your Glory. Amen!

I was blessed to read this message. I pray that it will encourage others to come to know the Lord and to accept the unfailing grace that He offers. I have been a believer for many years, but I still love to be reminded that He accepts us as we are as I fail regularly.
